reusing lids
« on: August 21, 2010, 16:32 »
I am going to make the hot hedgerow chutney today and needed some jars, so I went to tesco and bought all their mint sauce up, at 15p a jar this seems a good bargain for jars. Now the jars are pretty easy to clean once all that green sludge has been tipped down the sink, but what about the lids do you reuse these ? if so does it matter that the colour of the so called mint has left a stain on the seal, as long as they have been cleaned with scalding hot water.
