Today is Shrove Tuesday   .

Every Shrove Tuesday my family always says - these are really nice why don't we have them more often - and then suddenly the next Shrove Tuesday comes round again.

Lemon juice and a sprinkle of caster sugar is our favourite - how do you all eat yours?

on thurs I'll post a reply for a savoury filling for pancakes which went down really well at a recent dinner party - thurs being my day off and I can spend all day on here!

Sweet ones with Jam, or sweetened cottage cheese or chocolate sauce, or vanilla sauce or cinnamon.

I like mine with lemon and sugar.  Cheated today and used Aunty Bessies frozen pancakes, will make some on the weekend when I have more time.

I have always had milk and sugar on mine - don't know why.
I am joining flowergirl in the bad mums club as this is the third year running I have worked a late shift on pancake day. Guess what we will be having tomorrow :!:

You can't beat pancakes with liver and onion gravy poured over them. Wonderful!!

I forgot :oops: and had already ate a big tea and some pudding before I remembered.

Tonight I'll definitely make some, and I like mine with cinnamon & sugar, rolled up like a sausage roll and eaten straight away while still hot
