I've got 200 half-barrel planters (solid oak, ex-malt whisky) which need a decision; use them myself, sell them or barter them.  Anyone interested, send me a PM?  Maximum 24 to a pallet.

I'll probably use them for growing J Art since it'll be easier to get the blighters harvested.

I have a bit of digging to do on Mrs. Diggers plot. (Yes I know).Whilst the forecast for tomorrow is reasonable we had quite a lot of rain last night and judging by the state of the ground when I dug some leeks up today, it may still be too wet tomorrow. (excuses).

So it may be a case of moving the stuff out of the greenhouse I use for tomatoes, into the other one and ending the day smelling of Jayes Fluid!

Looks like the greenhouse, been peeing it down overnight.

.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

When I got my current plot I was given some canes also - the 'Autumn Bliss' variety. 4 Years on, they're rampant and I keep having to chop the blighters back, otherwise they'd take over the plot. Mind you - the crop's fantastic & we keep all the neighbours supplied.

And Tesco have the nerve to charge £2.49 for 250g - nearl 10 quid a kilo!

What a wonderful idea. I wish our neighbour would put his J Artis in a barrel - stop them invading our plot!

Feel more soup coming up.
Keep the plot cultivated, that's the best way to ensure its future.

Send me a PM if your neighbour wants my phone number  :) .  Mind you, there are cheaper containers in which to grow JArt, just that the barrels look a lot nicer.

Whisky ... old barrels ... divine!  I've got two in my garden that need replacing, I think one is about 15 years old and done two moves.

Up to 24 half-barrels on a pallet, wellies.  Provided you can cover shipping costs and some minor local expenses, then I'll trade ya for the rest of the "price".   Maybe you could share a pallet out between a few folks??

These are new barrels in the sense that they've never contained anything except malt whisky.
