Sliced beef in gravy for him & I, roast potatoes & veg & some sort of kebab things that came in the frozen stuff when the family moved in, for them & the munchkins can have a bit of both if they fancy it with rice & salad bits & pitta breads. Trying to use the bits up from the freezers in readiness for the move ...... it surely can’t last much longer lol 😂

Husband having cajun meat with peppers and mushrooms (off cuts from turkey fillets and pork chop mixed and covered in home made marinading powder).
Children having meatballs in home made ragu and possibly mashed potatoes. The world and his pasta eating cat are buying all the pasta so potatoes it is.

Cheaty fish pie as I was running late and needed to get a meal on the table quick.  Assorted fish from a fish pie mix, packet parsley sauce and some frozen mixed veg for the filling.  I did make the mash top and slung the whole lot together, then into the oven quick and assume innocent air of domestic goddess in control as OH arrived home

I had been mucking around on the plot all afternoon and didn't realise how late it was getting  ;)

Don't worry about it NS, often got lost in a book and then suddenly realised HE will be home soon and I've done nothing.  Move that pile of ironing/washing up to the spare bed, spray the furniture polish around like air freshener.  Empty the waste bins and then say 'you didn't tell me what you fancied tonight' with a very innocent face. :D

spray the furniture polish around like air freshener.

I once had a friend whose husband was an airline pilot on long haul, so he stayed in some nice hotels.
When he was due home she sprayed the furniture polish around as air freshener.     She also made up their bed and folded the sheet over the top and just ironed that in situ.     :D  Mrs B
