Just got into the garden and noticed my Loganberry next year's stems the top has been bitten off sames as my next years Rasberry stems any ideas what can be causing this will they still produce new stems or will they die I just don't know what causing this can This be slugs snails Foxys cats squirrels or birds or slugs I did see little tiny green caterpillars in the leaf thanks

The good news is that these won't die if it is just the tops that have gone: they may even branch out to make more growth at this time in the year.

Not sure what has caused this: it could be caterpillars if it is just the very ends that have gone

Muntjac deer at a guess

They are little blighters for picking off the tender growing shoots of stuff

A simple barrier of netting and canes will stop them. It doesn't need to be that sturdy. They just don't like pushing their noses into netting

They are common urban residents now Balders

We have them on our site and many people get them visiting their gardens
