Hi folks,
Anybody know of any good value gravel/aggregate suppliers online?
I'll scope out some local ones as well, might help beat any loading for delivery charges etc.

But if you've ever ordered any over the web, please let me know how you got on.
Thanks!

MM

 Hi Mules,
Don't know about on line but our main local suppliers (East Yorks) are MKM and Keyline. Very reasonable. See if they have web sites on net, that is if they are nation wide companys. Its worth a look.

Keyline and Travis Perkins both have websites, but I reccon you would get a better price by giving them a call!

Depends on quantities you want - can be much cheaper to buy a loose lorry load rather than in bags. Something like £20/tonne rather than £35

Try looking for local hauliers rather than builders merchants
Playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order!

I got a better deal going into the merchants than when I phoned them!!

If you go and talk to the staff at Travis Perkins and Keyline they are more inclined to give a discount. 25% was the difference between phone and face to face. I was after laying a drive though.

Sorry folks, been incognito the last couple of days
Thanks very much for the replies.  I'll speak to the people at our local keyline and see what they have to say.
Thanks again.

Haven't done too bad!

Most online places quote £ 110 - £ 130 for a tonne of aggregate plus delivery

Drove across to a nearby builders suppliers this morning, they have a special on at £ 56 + vat for the same and they'll deliver to anywhere in Fife.

Guess where I'll be going... ?    ;)

Thanks for all the posts

MM
