Glossy?? Na, they knew they would be getting their photo taken so went and had their hair/feathers done for the shoot!

Ha ha. Similar to me with my new babes on Sunday night. Was putting 1 to bed and didnt realise gate had swung open and the other 2 had got out into the garden at the same as time the dog came charging out of the house. Hubby said the look of horror and panic on my face was a picture. Got them back without to much hassle though.
Your chooks look lovely and happy.

Our first egg!!!!!!! The chickens were free ranging and this one dug itself in under a bush.
I suspected it was trying to lay but we needed to round them all up into their run.
As I picked it up and carried it across the grass the egg fell out, luckily not breaking when it hit the ground.

The pics includes the chook's reaction to this thing falling out of her bottom, lol.

It also includes the tasting...delcious. Yolk was orangey/toffee colour.
