get say a egg box or i just got a load of newpaper at the bottom of a card board box and find were the little eyelets are
make sure the eyelests are facing up.
if you put them in a box like i did just leav them in a cool dry place like under your stairs.
im not the best one to explain but i tried my best
good luck
PP.

Somewhere light and cool, if that is what they have already had and you want to give them an extra nudge in the right direction....then light and warm to break their dormancy 8)
Then if they shoot too quickly you can put them back to cool and light...but never cold

Your aiming for a sprut of about 5-10mm high, the sprut should be green/ purple in colour (for most), not pale and leggy. Light is very important and not to warm, to be honest nowadays they say its not as critical as it used to be.
Here is a linky to a picture of what you should aim for.

I think with the late frosts we're having this year and the fact many of us are contemplating putting our spud planting on hold for a couple of weeks this year it's a good job we're all chitting away.
This time last year I was in my first week on my new allotment sweating away sieving soil in a t-shirt.
Just goes to show you can't plan a new growing season from last years weather conditions.

rub those off and then chit them yourself properly

Try and buy them earlier next year so you get the fresh ones.

Yes - remove fibreboard. Give 'em light but not direct sun
If at first you don't succeed..... cheat!
