Metal Storage Bin
« on: September 25, 2009, 20:18 »
I am looking for some secure metal storage bins for my layers mash and mixed corn, can anyone advise please where I could get some at a reasonable price.  I don't want huge ones just big enough to store a 20kg bag.  I could then put the feed in the outside shed rather than keep it inside my house.  thanks alison

And us Raeburg ;)
They keep the rats out and as long as the lid is securely fastened (we use a bungy tie ) then no problems!!
We can fit 2x 20 kg sacks in ours!!

We use metal bins as well, but the best thing we have found is a big old broken freezer stores about 10 bags of feed and the rats and mice can't get into it!!!!!
Dont count ya chickens till they hatch!!!!!

I have 2 old metal dustbins for my layers and mixed corn - these cost me nothing as I got them off my local freecycle site  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.
