Im in the process of worming my Barnavelder with Flubenvet and tonight she did a poo this will sound disgusting but i know most of us do check the poo i saw something moving so had a closer look through the magnifying glass :blink: OMG disgusting what looked like LOADS of baby snails without there shells argh they moved exactly like a snail kind of moving forward so all the front looks fat then pulling there back bit along to move, very alien like i have NEVER seen this before does anyone know what this is they are about 5mm long i have never looked at there poo with a magnifying glass before whilst worming them so could have been there before argh horrid!!!!!

do you have a photo - so we can see what they are. If you are worming them could it be round worms?

Joyful i wished i could send a pic but it wouldnt show on the photo they are 5mm when magnified so at a glance you wouldnt notice anything in the poo  looked very closely and saw what looked like a tail so got my magnifyer out and looked more closely and there they were looking like baby snails they were DISGUSTING and so many of them i picked the poo up with kitchen roll and all the little snailie things were stuck to that and in the poo i have looked in my books and can not find anything that looks anything like what i saw i am going to search on line they had the EXACT movment of how a snail moves EEEEOW

Joyful i think you may be right i think it could be roundworms i was shocked because i thought roundworm was big and looked like white worms these looked a little smaller than a grain of rice why would they be so small, do they grow into big worms sorry to sound so clueless no matter how much you think you know about your chooks there is always new stuff to suprise me

glad i read this as my hens are due for worming.... i am now prepared for anything!
