HELP ME!!! Buttercups ill......really ill!!

HELP!!!!

Buttercup, my newly aquired chook (got her sunday I believe?) is ILL!!

She had the usual henpecking going on but she was placid and didn't give any back really? I thought that placidness was the breed maybe, or her 'personality' but my partner observed her and said she was 'falling backwards' but I didn't see it so just thought I'd keep an eye out for it. I have been noticing a very green poo around the garden but thought nothing of it - it's buttercups! very dark green with white (pee). Again I put it down to a new bird's traits. However this morning, I let them all out and buttercup stayed in the house, head tucked under her wing. She was still there at 10 when claire left. I get home this evening at 6.30 and she was still there!! I thought she was dead! Hard to get her to come round, but I managed to. I've brought her in and I'd even bought some cat food for her but it's blooming gourmet stuff - tuna and prawns!?  She's not eating or drinking and is VERY unstable on her feet, lethargic and just wants to bury her head in her wing and sleep....I'm REALLY WORRIED!!! I know when a chook act ill then she really IS ILL...I don't want to lose her!!

What can I do?? Anyone got any ideas? I'm trying to give her water...should I try sugar in it...pep her up??

PLEASE HELP!!!

Contact the supplier and see if any of his stock has the same peoblem.  S/he may know what the problem is.

Poto of the green poo would be good (not essential though) Big poos or small ones ?

Advanced stages of worms give green poo as does not eating much.

I'd get her to a vet for a does of Panacur for worms and for their further advice.  Send the bill to the supplier !

Foxy is around to help too !

THANKS AUNT SALLY!!!

Sorry, no pics of poos - damn my cleanliness!! She doesn't seem to have done much today. I brought her in to the kitchen tonight and she did a small one (all the rest have been normal size i think?) but it was only a small amount of green and mostly white/cream

....Will she die?

Oh Mick, I'm so sorry Buttercup is so poorly. No helpful advice but sending loads of hugs. I found a pipette really useful for getting water into weak ducklings. You can also use a straw with your finger over one end.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Right, what about a friendly chemist, ask the pharmacist if there is anything you can use or even better the number of the nearest vet on call. If I cant get a bird to drink I sometimes get a shallow dish and just dip the ends of the beaks in it. They sometimes drink just because praps they might drown otherwise, not nice but it works. Oh and Vets normally have an emergency number. If you cant find one, do you know a local cow farmer or someone with horses, they always have to have vets on hand because of colic  Mick I am keeping everything crossed from over here
Think positive. My little Bertha has made it. She was all splayed out with no grip and icy cold feet at one point :?
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!!

It might not be your bag  but Reiki would be a good bet. I shall send some to her from here and the Reiki lady there can send some even if she doesnt see her tonight. If she is into healing she will do all she can to help you. Good luck.

If you can't manage to get water into her on your own Mick get help.  I think it's a two person job.
