Strange she seems better today. I have today off work.

Watched her do two poos with in two hours got photos of one.

Her poo is the green with white not the dark brown.

Found remains of a paper shell egg.

She is eating
I will add the video soon, they are uploading.

Though she still has power naps

I am happy that she is passing poo and egg. I am going to give her another day. If she has got any worse by Sat morning she is off to vets.

Hi Roughlee

The soft shelled eggs do take alot out of the hens physically.

Have you tried some Limestone flour in their feed gives them extra calcium? You can get it from most horsey places. Aunt Sally has written about it on occasion I shall try and find a post for you :)

videos of Little Speck this morning AKA "Gismo"
vid 1
vid 2

I have been and purchased Limestone flour.
This afternoon.  She is tired spending allot of time lieing down she has found a quiet spot.
Made her a Calcium rich meal of feed pelits, Limestone flour, egg shells and split corn.  Opps just realised that the feed may have alittle bit to much flour in it ie very white.

Roughlee

If you put some oil on your corn the limestone powder will stick to it better and hen will eat it better :D

I'll look at the videos now, just thought I'd mention it b4 i forgot

Had a look at videos, she's well they're all lovely looking birds. I wouldn't have known she was under the weather by the way she was eating :)

Think your doing everything right with her,  as she's passing the eggs and eating etc

Just keep doing what your doing ie keeping an eye on her :D

You saw here in her looking good period that day.  She did look worse in the afternoon.  I wanted to show you guys why i did not take her to the vets.  I am still concerned.  I do not know when the papery egg was laid but know it was less than a week.

She is not well but she is not really really sick.

I don't like the look of her poos Roughlee.  Green is bad !

Could be worms - have you wormed them recently ?

I was wondering if she has an intestinal problem ie infection causing inflamation she may not be able to absorb nutrients, or a high wormlaod will do the same thing and poss why she seems just a bit under the weather? Laying softies would make feel peaky anyway.
Do you have any apple cider vinegar or some old garlic cloves you could pop in the water as well?
Flubenvent is the wormer of choice for a lot of people here.

Out of intrest would that be why her bottom has been twitching alot Auntie??

Do worms in hens do that? They make dogs do skids so I suppose it could be possible????

Just curious
