Hayter 41 electric start petrol lawnmower running badly
« on: September 23, 2011, 16:00 »
Does anyone know how to make adjustments to the carburettor?  In the manual it says 'adjustments should only be made by an authorised Briggs and Stratton dealer'.  We know it will need a service over the winter, but want to keep it going until then.  My OH is usually quite good at things like this, but he has twiddled with it unsuccessfully.  Any advice would be appreciated.

There's some tips on here: http://www.small-engines.com/
See the sticky above

Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

this recent thread might help you out.
I suspect that some debris might have got in the petrol tank, it's very common.
