Ok next greenhouse question is Toughend or standard glass ? I think I may go with this one...

Well just got lucky and found one for £20 may have to traval 40 miles to collect but what the heck!!!

Any advice on stripping it down (it has a base with the spikes in concrete).

I know theres a thread in this section, on the back pages, that deals with this.
Do you think I can find it?   No!

Take a pad and a pencil.
Draw the greenhouse on the paper, and number the glass.
remove the glass, and stack.
almost all the bolts will have 10mm heads.
Draw the greenhouse again, include the cross braces ect.... Number the bits.
What we have done, when taking one apart, Is to remove the roof bars first, And then one whole end complete, then the other end complete.
Thats it, job done. Stick the whole lot in a transit van and off you go.
As for the concrete, you might need a bolster and club hammer, and an angle grinder (metal cutting blade)....
I'm sure somebody else will happen along later to tell you all the bits I've missed out..... :wink:

Found this list in another thread about dismantling a greenhouse.


Gaffer tape
Camera
ratchet spanner
pliers.. various including thin nose
containers for small bits
newspaper/bubble wrap
charged cordless drill
spanner set
Flat bladed screwdriver (50 x 2)
sticky labels
marker pen
WD40
Pad of paper and pen

It's dark in this equipment shed. :wink:
