First forgive me I have only just got this, and its still in the car.... I have an attachment with it, looks like a plough, do I need wheels at the front to use it? also IS it a plough, or to earth up soil for spuds, thanks

It is a furrower for earthing up. Wolseley always recommended traction wheels for use with these on their Merry Tillers, but the current Merry Tiller maker, MacKissic recommends pulling it with the tynes, possibly because they no longer sell traction wheels but still sell "plows."

 hi i find it easier to use the tines for making ridges on a merrytiller they loosen the soil directly in front of the ridger for tatties then i narrow the tines and turn them round so that they run on the backs when haping up  jezza
