Wolf Garten tools

Afternoon,
Just wondering, what's the general opinion on the wolf garten "locked in" range of tools.
Personally like the look of then just after a review before I flash the cash.

They are excellent but did you know,if you type wolf garten in the forum search box you will see what has been discussed on them :)

+1, used them for years, the handle's getting a bit past it but then I leave it out in all weathers and never oil it either.

the hoe is one of the best I've used and the seed drill wheel was top notch when I was row focused.

Yeah they do look solid....are they relatively easy to home sharpen?

I agree with all the comments so far. I bought into the system a couple of months back, and everything I've used so far seems well made. With a 10 year guarantee I don't think you can go far wrong. There is only one downside that I have found so far - if you only have a single handle, and there are two of you, then you will have to fight over who uses the tool!

I've just subscribed to this system. Really well made and a good range of tools. I particularly like the draw hoe which has a 4" wide blade with a screw fixing to enable you to renew the blade. Now I don't anticipating this being necessary for a long while but Father in law has worn his down and cannot get a replacement anywhere. I could make one but would have difficulty drilling hardened steel. Suggestions on a postcard please

I'd go for using a cobalt drill on the hardened steel....that's what I use. Unless it's crazy crazy hard, but cobalt should do the trick

Thanks RB I think I might be able to get some stainless so will try to get a cobalt drill in the meantime.

Brill. Bought a good range of different changeable heads and different handles four years ago. No regrets, use every day. It does pay to shop around. Try Ebay etc.

Thanks

I use the tools, the only problem I find is that for clay soil they tend not to be able to break up the soil much.
