Hi, I have one day old duckling, my first question is has any one else got any day olds around Yeovil? If not does anyone have any experience of rearing one duckling alone. I have a flock of ducks and one of the Campbell's has been trying to sit but her eggs don't seem to hatch. She is currently on eggs would she except the duckling?

I would think that if you put the chick under her after dark and take an egg out in its place she will be none the wiser.  It works with chickens so good luck.

I've also managed to get a duck to accept ducklings as well so if she has been broody for a while you might manage. Just remember that if she does accept the duckling she will probably abandon the eggs. How close are they to hatching?
