hi, l just got a plot that has'nt been used in years l was wondering if l can add manure when planting my main crop potatoes or is this a bad idea?.. :?

You can add manure provided it's at least a year old. Potatoes are heavy feeders and need manure.

I planted mine in fresh manure cos I had nothing else but it does make the skins scabby, not a problem if they're to be eaten, but not much good for the show bench  :D

they are heavy feeders so manure is a good planting medium, and if you have some soil to mix it with all the better. You'll get some good spuds  :D
