I was gonna plant some bright lights chard as I think it looks pretty when growing.
I have also heard that it tastes grim. :tongue2:
Should I bother?

if its worth taking up the room go ahead i love the colour on them beautiful but if you are taking up room which can be used for planting and you need it don't also if you do go ahead with it why not try it :)

We love it and would not describe it as grim to eat I can tell you
The leaves are a bit like spinach and can be used for all sorts and the stems steam beautifully and have a delicate flavour :D
Go for it :nowink: :nowink: IMHO

Thank you lovely people. The seeds have just gone in!

Mine germinated so successfully I had to thin them   :D

Lol. I hope mine do the same!

It keeps my office happy in the winter. Maybe the vegetarians like a bit of torture.

We had a chard gratin when out one night. It was very nice. So we too have planted some. It germinated well but then did nothing more, and slugs love it.

Chard is lovely!!! And very versatile. :) I love it in stirfries, but do other dishes with it too. :) And if you have chickens(your avatar) give them some of the chopped up leaves. I bet they would love it. :)
