I bought one of these from Homebase and its says on the ticket, "Harmful if eaten". Sadly it dosent say anymore than that. Does it mean that if my chickens get out in the garden and eat the leaves they'll die?

Chickens will most likely tend to avoid eating plants which aren't good for them. They just seem to know.. If you're really worried you could try and fence it off from them in some way.

My hens have  Honeysuckle in their run and in the garden, they have never bothered with it. The wild birds eat the berries in the autumn.

Mine enjoy rhubarb leaves!!

Mine ate the rhubarb leaves too, i thought they were poisonous. They were young leaves so that may be why they're still wandering around.

we did have a rhubarb plant in the garden when we moved in but we got rid long before thinking about chickens! Theres decking over were it used to be now!

Rhubarb leaves contain oxalic acid which isn't good for humans. As I said earlier in this thread, the birds are pretty good at not touching things which are bad for them. They could always use rhubarb leaves as a sunshade!

Mine have stripped the lower leaves from the wild honeysuckle in my garden- twice, no ill effects seen.
