Title: freezing apples

Anyone got any tips on freezing apples ?
Would you cook them first then freeze,bearing in mind im only
going to use them in pies,crumble and the like.
Mainly windfalls.

I did manage to sort it and now i have plenty of frozen apples in the freezer  :)
