Thank you.   I hope so.  As I am now retired I can spend lots of time with them.  Their run sections can be shut off in 3 different places in order to regrow grass and weeds  -  it looks quite mish-mash to our human eyes - but is an ever rejuvenating wonderland of tunnels, rat runs and open areas for the girls to play in total safety from my dogs (and cats).

I have spent months and months researching nutrition for the girls and believe that now they are getting the best possible set of nutrients I can provide.

MEALWORMS!  The favourite treat of all time!  Especially if they are live!!!!!      For those misguided (uneducated in chickens  - does not apply to anyone here of course)   -  if you want to see your girls behaving like Velociraptors  just throw them some worms.

Please remember that DEFRA has now decided that you cannot feed meal worms to livestock (which is what they consider our chickens to be).
Staffies are softer than you think.

You should see how far they can stretch a frog when fighting over it! Not for the faint-hearted.

Did not know mealworms banned! Does anyone know the thinking behind this? :nowink:

They are banned because you cannot be sure of the carcasses that they are raised on as most are imported into this country. They don't want to take the risk of something nasty getting into the food chain which is why it is still ok to feed them to our garden birds - we generally don't eat them or their eggs.

I ferment my feed....been doing it for 3 yrs now and will never go back to dry feed.  Too, too many benefits to stop.

Wolfpup, how are you liking it by now?   :)
