The Oldest Profession in The World !
« on: May 15, 2020, 14:22 »
On the 'phone to a friend, she has just asked me this question.      Will the Ladies of the Night now be unemployed or are they classed as employed by the p--ps who run them.   In which case have they been furloughed.           My friends and I only talk rubbish   ::) ::)   Mrs Bouquet

Self employed, so can claim the furlough equivalent. If they completed tax returns for the last three years, of course!

Having lived and worked (not in that arena I hasten to add)  in an area where there were several of these ladies, they always  had full purses/wallets.  I can't explain how I know any further on an open forum.

It's not so rubbishy actually, as quite by chance (and eight hours in front of the PC, in the dark, when Mrs Growster had gone to bed - not), I saw an article where it's all gone online, but that's from where I can't fathom what happens, so you may well have opened up a new section for discussion here, Mrs B!

I suppose John could start up a special site, with adverts and phone numbers, but that would be about eight hours before he was arrested and charged with crimes concerning root vegetables and certain varieties of fruit..;0)

I'll be the moderator, as you never know when those phone numbers and pictures might be more important than you think, and I'd hate the 'Ladies who Mod', having to see such things...

(So that's what really goes on in Worthing is it)?

Mrs Bouquet, you really have changed my view of you lol...not really lol. As it is illegal to live off income from that form of ‘work’ one assumes no tax or national insurance is paid so no furlough payments I suppose. I would have thought they continue to work masks compulsory, which brings up an image I think I’d prefer not to have

Oddly enough I turned down an advert on another site for 'escorts' this week.  Some very attractive and limber young ladies but the poor dears must be in dire straits as they couldn't afford clothes to go on top of their undies!
Got quite a hostile response from the would be advertiser but I don't think it appropriate to promote on a site which may have children visit. Very old-fashioned of me, no doubt.

shame on you John i could have spent many a happy hour watching that add and then there's the telephone numbers we could have a whip round to get you out of jail

its funny this topic was raised because my wife was sorting out some old newspapers the other day and the headlines where [This is the first person to be court in the red light district]  the council had an enforcement order to stop curb crawling in a certain part of the town  of cause I've haven't been there only read about such these things :D :D

there are some things you miss in a village don't you know no ladies of the night here?
no pubs open either

Unless you need to use these dating sites they are best avoided.

I can see it now... a dating site dedicated to Gardeners. Instead of questions about what clubs you like going to and which pop group is best, there will be useful questions like "How many recipes do you know for hiding courgettes?"

And no, "hide the courgette" is NOT a euphemism for anything, honest!

Before my friend and I moved on to other matter in this 'phone conversation, I asked her why she wanted to know, and was she thinking of a career change !!  Given that she is a glamorous 78 year old, her reply was, sell it, you must be joking, I couldn't give it away       She has asthma so is very confined to her home.
But the Doctor/NHS have arranged for a young man to get her shopping,    she admits, "he is very easy on the eye".      More gales of laughter      Mrs B

So there's this young man walking home when a lady not exactly in the first flush of youth asks him if he's looking for business.
Not wishing to offend the young man answers, "I'd love to but I've only got a £5.00 note"
She answers "Oh, that's OK - I've got change" :)
I'll get me coat
