Stir up Sunday
« on: November 21, 2011, 14:16 »
Did anyone else steam a pudding yesterday in anticipation of Christmas.  Mine went into the steamer last night and looked fine this morning when I got up.  I had taken the ingredients to my Mums' in the afternoon so that anyone who wanted to could have a stir and a wish.  I have never made one of these before so look forward to trying a little bit in 5 weeks.

I'd forgotten about stir-up Sunday and made ours last week. ::)

I wouldn't dare go to bed and leave a pudding steaming, i had to top mine up loads of times.
But thats because i use an old saucepan and the lids not the best fit.

I'm sure your pudding will be lovely Debz :)

Well I shall stir myself in the morning to make mine, and the C cake too  :D :D

They can cook while I get on and do some paid work  :D

Pleeeeez don't mention the 'c' word ... I did actually buy the ingredients for the cakes on Sunday, but still haven't managed to squeeze in the time to make them!!  I've normally tackled the job by the beginning of the month, so rather behind this year!!

Had to go out, so didn't put the cake in the oven.

It is cooking now and the extractor fan is filling the street with a yummy smell.

Quite funny watching as people go by and yo can see them thinking ...... mmmm, that's yummy  :D

Hope it is when it is cooked  :D :D
