Climber called Sunderville
« on: July 19, 2009, 21:14 »
Hi

I don't pop along here very often but would appreciate some help.  I have seen
a glorious climber called 'Sunderville' Redhot.  Does anyone know if this has a
different name.  It looks similar to a Distictus.  Beautiful trumpet shape flowers & lots of them.
Thanks in advance

Mumsy, I cannot find any mention of the names you`ve provided. As has been said, it`s not a Campsis, is it?

No, def not a campsis.  Its weird cos I work at T & M (sorry).  We have our open weekend soon & all the plants are on display,  I guess it will be in the new season catalogue/online,  I was trying to find some info on it but nothing comes up on google.

Its a real beauty.  Will take a pic tomorrow & pop on here.  At first I thought it was a Clematis ( & still could be related), on looking closer changed my mind.

Seems they are fine outside in the summer but need to be kept at 9-15c in the winter.  I read on google that its too hot indoors for them, a heated greenhouse seems to be the way to go!! Mines heated in the winter anyway, so should be ok.
