MARES TAIL THE CURE???????
« on: August 04, 2010, 13:14 »
I was talking to an old gardener at work the other day and he says to get rid of mares tail you should paint the leaves and stem with wall paper paste mixed with salt as anyone heard or tried this and would it have any negative effects on the soil?

How on earth did he discover this???? ??? Not your everyday mix of ingredients, I'd have thought!

I've never heard of this --

cutting them to the ground as soon as they appear eventually weakens them and they die. or crushing them then spraying with glyphosate, repated a couple of times, does the trick,

but salt and wall paper paste -- not yet

I bet it works as well as rhubarb and club root.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
