Is this blight???

Boooooooo

Looks like all my main crops have been struck down with blight!

Leaves have started to yellow with dark splodges.  They looked really healthy until the flippin monsoons started a couple of days ago!

I take it the yellowing leaves with dark splodges is a pretty good indicator of blight?  We had blight last year in a separate area of the plot - we still had a good harvest though.  Is it worth keeping a close eye on them and waiting for as long as possible before cutting off the haulms?

They've been in the ground since the end of April and are a good 2 foot tall now and the flowers were out and have all died off.

Thanks for any advice - variety planted is Arran.  Looks like we'll have to get a more blight resistant spud next year.  No doubt the tomatoes will be enxt to succumb!

I'm not at all convinced it is blight.

Ahhh...can't actually remember what variety of Arran they are.

Having also looked at my veggie book, I'm hoping it's a case of magnesium deficiency and that a trace element spray will get them healthy.

Heres hoping!

Arran Pilot are earlies - if it's them they could just be getting old!

I doubt it's blight also, here's the outbreak map, the nearest case to you is in the Yeovil area & that's some way away.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
