I have been trying to track down a set of jet cleaners for a honda gx120 carb, but to no avail, would oxy-acet nozzle cleaners do the job, the given sizes for the jets are 0.5mm 0.020" and 0.3mm 0.012"
cheers dave

I would not,my oxy nozzel cleaners are like round rasps and may make the jet hole larger or could snap off.Oxy cleaners have to remove welding slag and there is not going to be anything blocking a carb jet that requires such a drastic tool.

Is aceton not avaliable anymore? Leave jets overnight in the aceton, than clean up with pressured air. Repeat until jet clean.

How about using a Tilly lamp pricker ! 8) Pick them up at a decent ironmongers. Cheers, Tony.

Thanks for the replies, however having failed to track down any honda jet cleaners (or any others) I bit the bullet and used my nozzel cleaners (carefully) and the carb cleaner. Hey presto i have now got a running engine.
Just one footnote. the amount of gunge and hard deposits on all surfaces, looking like sand, inside the bowl and jets, was caused, i have since found out by the breakdown of the fuel and the previous owner not draining the fuel system and then leaving it to stand for 2years
lesson to be learned, if an engine is to be stood for any length of time drain the fuel system

I always turn the fuel off then let the engine run until it dies as I turn it off for the last time of the day, this generally empties the bowl of the carb.
