MY Freecycle find advice needed please

I got this off freecycle this morning, needless to say I'm well chuffed.
But what's a 4 cycle engine ? is it 4 stroke It still has petrol in which I assume is no good now.
Anything else I should know?

4 stroke is an oil in the engine sump as apposed to 2 stroke which is oil in the petrol mix, take the plug lead off remove the spark plug and clean and turn it over a few times slowly to loosen everything up .. set the throttle ( on the arms) replace the plug and lead set the choke to open . now turn it over as if to start if this doesnt werk close the choke , if that doesnt work . change the petrol . and clean the air filter , wash in warm soapy water dry and put a few drops of oil on it and squeeze it through. then try starting again, hope that werks ,, what machine is it ?

Your rotavator looks to be a 4 stroke. The oil filler plug is probably the yellow plug to the right of and above the O of Flymo. These come up often on Ebay so you could confirm by looking there, or do a Google search.

interesting lable 127cc at 3800rpm i wonder how many cc it is at other engine speeds :roll:

what we looking at the rotavator or the bike

similar engine to the one on my merry tiller mine starts better on half a choke give it a couple of pulls as soon as the engine wants to start flick the choke off and pull it again.

Thanks fellas, some good points there, I thought it was 4 stroke but didn't want to knack it by putting oil in the petrol or not. the Can't believe how clean the garage looks

Only 1 bike there's usually 4 in there, in various states of repair.
Will let you know how I get on with starting it.
