Title: Reasons why you should always wear a veil when bee keeping.
Post by: Roughlee Handled on July 22, 2009, 09:44
Reasons why you should always wear a veil when bee keeping.
Last night i changed the syrup feeder over and normally I do this with out a veil or smoke. I must have crushed a bee when I put the feeder back on as I upset them got stung on the ear!!
I now can do a good impression of Prince Charles, well on half of me can.
I got away lightly stung on the ear.  If I was stung on the nose or on the soft bits around the chin it would have hurt allot and I would look more ugly than I normally do.

Rough you're one big softy.

Why don't you pull it off down the local as a cabbage ear from rough and tumble at rugby?

Well it shows your bees know what to do around pansy's...

Its photoshopped

He looks like that anyway...and his nose isnt usually that straight..and he has a wart on the end of his nose thats always red because he plucks the hairs out too harshly, and he wears a syrup

Apart from that hes a hunk  ;)

Peapod you forgot the horrible taste in online videos :D (Ask Kate)

Don't forget folks, he -does- have pigs and horses. Don't owners start to look like their pets and vice versa? :D

My ear has gone down slightly today.  As a rule a bee sting will stay up and ichy for 3 days.
The wife is calling me Jodrell as in the Bank. :(

:D Funny thread... And thanks for sharing it ear.  ;)
Shouldn't giggle really though, as I'm sure I'll get stung a few times when I finally take the plunge and get bees myself. For now I'm just trying to learn as much as possible from folks like your good self so I don't make the kind of mistakes that cause the bees to suffer.
Thanks for the advice, and for the chuckle. Get well soon.
