Cleaning hotspot tape off

What's the best way to get it off arggggggh I have been scrubbing the frame in the back garden i am glad its not up yet only got 5 more hoops to clean at 25ft long in total. :tongue2: :wacko:

I've never met hot spot tape but white spirit cleans of any gummy tape I've very used it on .  Even the ones which usually only smear when you use a washing up detergent and a scouring pad just wipe off with white spirit.

Will pick some up today its horrid stuff to remove while fighting a 12ft long curved piece of tubing that wants to roll every angle but the one you want  :lol:

WD40 can also be used quite effectively or sticky stuff remover available at Screwfix, B & Q etc.   :D

For small areas, nail polish remover will also remove sticky tape as it's mostly acetone.

Six more hoops with tape removed  only need wiping over with some white spirit tomorrow to get rid of sticky bits.2 more hoops to go

eucalyptus oil or one of those dry cleaning spot removers  (used to be called dab it off many years back) will get just about anything off.

oh yes another one is the orange smelling cleaning fluid for removing the heat paste on computer chips.

This is beginning to sound like a list of solvents which will disolve anything.  You know the one I mean the one they are still searching for a bottle to keep it in ???

The wheelie bin out front is as big as some woman's handbags i guess. I found Petrol in there no nail varnish remover it done the same trick tho.  And made my head hurt  :wacko:

Of course he will have some..............and nail the nail varnish to stop the ladders in his stockings from running  :lol:  :lol:


I only try and stop them ladder's running so the melons don't fall out.
