Treatment for Raspberry beetle/botrytis
« on: May 11, 2009, 11:25 »
I want to avoid any grubs and mould on my raspberries, what pesticides/fugicides are available for this. I've got an oldish book and most of the chemicals seem to have been withdrawn. Are there any systemic pesticides still available rather than just contact ones?

All the soft fruit is looking good this year so far, just hope it all comes to fruition so i can fill my freezer :)

Know what you mean - nothing like a wiggly nasty to put you off your rasps. If you've any Derris left you can use that at first pink fruit, I don't know what else is around now (ditto fungicides). Provado is, I think, the only systemic insecticide, but don't know if it's recommended for rasps.

Just checked on the RHS site and apart from derris, usable until autumn (but not buyable) there are no pesticides approved for use on raspberries
