hi ya i have a clump of cherry trees at the end of my plot i thought i woud like to put my shed under them , but i was advised that if i do this my wooden shed would not last long that it would get damp and coverd in algea, ect  is this right ...............pete

It's true. Mostly it depends on when morning sun would hit it to dry off the roof and siding. If it's afternoon sun hitting it, then dew and overnight rain can do their damage longer. It's slow and hard to see but it's there and constantly working against you.

Also, certain trees might run their roots closer to the surface for moisture and could push your shed off balance a bit.
