Expanding foam?
« on: November 20, 2012, 13:02 »
I have built a largish cold frame (8x2feet) & maneged to make it solid on the inside and clad with overlap from an old shed. this gives a gap of about 1/2 an inch between the walls. I thought of insulating with expanding foam, or would i be better just leaving the gap?

I should leave the 'air gap' as moisture may gather between any foam and wood promoting wood rot.  The air gap will give loads of insulation   :)

Cheers,   Tony.

I've found pipe lagging cut into strips dead useful for stuffing into gaps.
