Help with garden tool
« on: April 28, 2009, 21:19 »
Hiya,

I need your help for the english name (and possibly a source, where I can get this thing over here) for the following tool for looseninig up the soil:

I have never seen it here and it would make life soooo much easier for me as I am still in the process of digging up my "lawn"

Thanks and happy gardening

Bell

Looks like a fancy Hoe or Cultivator to me.

I have been to B&Q, Homebase, Wilko, the big Supermarkets (Tesc@, Asda etc), Argos, Amazon and eBay, but i can not find one that looks like or similar to that so far.

It is shaped like a boars tooth and very long, probably roughly the same curve/ length as an ordinary football at least. Haven't seen anything even remotely like it yet :(

Here is another pic that should do the size more justice

Thanks so far

Looks as if it would come in handy on a very windy day on the plot as an anchor!!

Or perhaps on a steep incline  ::)

Anyone ever used one?
