  Can't believe it I went to poo pick yesterday when I got in from work and woohoo found an egg in the nest box!!!( not the pot egg  haha).

The proud egg layer was Bhuna ( we are very lucky to have different colour egg layers ) who has been very noisy today. My daughter and I did a little dance round the garden lol sad or what.

I must be doing something right then - the egg was perfect albeit the size of a standard small egg, good shell and clean   We are going to wait for the next one then hubby is going to have them for breakfast. I did take pictures but although I have uploaded some pictures they are showing not being approved  for some reason

LOL Dizzy, I think hubby is extremely chicken out . AFter weeks of every type of coop building me a larger run and every chicken question you can dream of he is burbling lol.

He may have done a dance but is waiting for 2 knee re-placements so we will have to wait for that one .

Daughter  eats eggs but only the yolk so I wasn't going to let her waste it  .

I am hoping for an egg each for Sunday breakfast

  ......its a waste i tell you-a waste , my little boy loves telling people he has timed his fresh egg! he watched it being laid, we brought it straight in and it was poached and on a slice of toast in 7 mins...now thats fresh!

Hi Sopho, I would love to carry mine around but I am too scared in case I break them ( Bhuna laid another today ). They are in eggcups waiting for breakfast on Sunday - they may be joined by another by then hopefully lol
