Title: Cheap Bird scarers...
Post by: Sideshoot on June 26, 2010, 17:40
Having just put up some cheap England bunting in the back garden i couldnt help notice the flags are made of plastic (like carrier bags etcs).
I would think judging by the noise of them blowing in the wind they would scare the most determined of birds away, worth a thought, it was only £1 for a 6 meter length.

Paul.

I read somewhere that plastic snakes freak birds out. I tried it in my raised beds, and it seems to have worked (I have woodpigeons, blackbirds etc. around); I have lots of brassicas, and none of them have been touched.
Now, if only flea beetles were afraid of snakes...
