Advice about silkies

Finished building new improved run (OK it was and old wooden bedframe and the wire left over from the ex-batts run) and move the silkie girls (now called Bramble and Bracken) into it.  Was rewarded this morning by 2 eggs!  Unfortunately they were quite thin shelled and were trodden/pecked before I could get them out  Cue loads more wood shavings in the house and note to self to get up earlier
