I think we are lucky to have them   I really could not imagine our house without them.............Maybe I could,   hair free, dirt free,  dog smell free, very quiet (ie boring)  and we would be able to put the nice beige rug back down for the winter  :D

I know  :) I had a little JR and he moulted for England.  The dog I look after sometimes sheds all over the place too.  I combed him the other day, which is not easy as he hates it, and I got him on a big blanket first so I could take it out and shake it (the blanket, not the dog).  You could have stuffed a cushion with it all. It gathers round the kitchen floor like tumbleweed  :)

My sister told me of a good dog brush- I can´t remember the name, I will have to ask her again.

Charlie is far less smelly after just 4 meals of the food for dogs with digestive problems,  so we will be buying more  :D  Just a shame the shop is an hours drive away, but worth the drive  :D

It really notices that he smells so much better, he is a pleasure to stroke now.

Good  :)

I've got various dog brushes as you keep buying them til you find one the dog will accept. They are funny devils aren't they.  I have a Slicker brush for the hound but he's terrified of it as it's same as the one at the beauty parlour, which he hates.  So I use a rubber pimple brush on him, which is not really a brush at all as there's no bristle, just the pimples. This was my JR's and the only one he would tolerate.  It's a game innit  :D

What with the dirt from the garden (we have very sandy soil) and the hair from 4 dogs the broom is all but worn out!

Furminator? We have one for the Border Collie as her soft, long coat can be hard to brush with the other two or three types of dog brush and comb we have. ::) We were recommended to get one by a friend who has a long haired white cat and it works well. :)

They really are good. :) I may have put you off with talk of long-haired dogs and cats, but it works on short hair too as it drags out the soft stuff from underneath.

Which one do you have?   We have 3 short haired dogs (Lab and terrier type) and Lola who has wirey hair.

Pamela

Do you mean the brush? It has yellow on the handle, we got it from eBay and as I recall it was sold as being suitable for larger dogs, or medium to large(r)....

Looking at the website, I see they make them for long and short hair in small, medium and large. I would have thought that the short hair large size (for Charlie) would suit you..... The comb head on it is about 100 mm across and does coats shorter than 50 mm. I don't think that will be far too big for your other dogs either. :)
