Yesterday we took Rosie to the vets to be speyed (9 weeks since her first season finished and 5 days after her first birthday).
At the moment she is feeling very sorry for herself but at least she is happier wearing her inflatable collar rather than the plastic bucket that the vets provided.
She may never know but this was the best birthday present we could give her - no chance of having any of the following:- puppies, c-section, pyometra, uterine cancer and a lower risk of getting mammary cancer.

She is gorgeous joyfull. I am sure she will forgive you, with the right amount of treats that is. :D

Oh poor girl! :( Look at that sad face. ::) She won't think it right now, but its definitely the right course of action and soon she'll have forgotten all about it. :D

Lola took to her bed for a week after being spayed, we had to carry her outside and to her food. Jumbo, who was a pup at the time left her alone until the week was up, then he had had enough and told her to get out of bed
Rosie can use the ring for swimming lessons after

Bed for a week
Rosie has forgotten all about it after seeing the feral cat through the window and tried to get to him.
Suggestions are now needed on how to keep a Staffie x English Bull Terrier quiet for the next 6 days until her stitches come out

Sleeping pills?

Sounds like the curtains need to be drawn to keep Rosie quiet
Agree that it's the best gift she can have and she looks like she'll recover quickly
