eBay might be worth a shot if you can find a supplier with a good reputation.  I find the problem is more getting someone to deliver to an allotment site

Very good article, oldbean (your'e up early!).
(I have a 15x12 poly and its 'skin' is about to give up the ghost and will need replacing - partly due to some 'ragarse' as shawn says, slashed the sides a few years ago and its costs me about £18 a year in special tape to repair the holes.)

I would like to get my hands on some of that blue/yellow tubing so I can make a tunnel to cover with mesh to protect the brassicas from pigeons and butterflies. Would it be possible to erect such a structure, but take it down and move it to a new place next season? Or is that a silly idea?

'corse it's not a silly idea. It's just a giant cloche/fruit cage etc. I would use black pipe though as it's UV resistant.
