What did Santa bring you then?
« on: December 27, 2023, 09:15 »
I got a pair of slippers, a cat calendar, a beautiful bunch of flowers, some Mindfulness roll-on scent with a Mindfulness Challenge, a DVD from a dear friend, and a Winter Wonderland jigsaw, most of which are fir trees covered in snow which will take me ages to do.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Punk isn't dead...it's underground where it belongs. If it comes to the surface it's no longer punk...it's Green Day!

A gardeners world ticket, a pressure canning book, 6 tiny cacti shaped candles that will never be lit, money for my allotment fund- will buy new strong anti bird netting for the fruit cage, a double sided very sharp pruning saw with folding handles, wine, chocolates, bamboo socks in beautiful colours, a pot of what looks like crocus already planted & a pot of Iris to plant, gardeners hand cream & soap, a long handled stainless steel trowel- should be good as I use the long handled little fork all the time.

Chocs, some Molton Brown shower gel and scrub, some Fortnum and Mason lime marmalade, and shared a huge tin of their biscuits with Mrs Growster!

Mrs Growster gave me a Black and Decker angle grinder too! I gave her a Riverdance DVD and a much longed-for lava lamp, which is bubbling away nicely!

Various candles, chocs, etc, and a combined birthday / Christmas present of:

I also saw a practically brand new Jack Wolfskin jacket in a charity shop, which I pounced upon  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

We agreed not to buy pressies this year.  All the money went to St Barnabas Hospice, which is where my husband was looked after in his last few days.   We work very hard in the village to fund-raise for them.
