The apple trees will need a grease band and the plum trees will need a pheromone trap. I have just bought these for the first time and the instructions are:
Apple. 4" grease band 18" from the ground on the trunk. Needs to be done now because the trees are beginning to blossom. The grease traps the wingless females, and when you notice these then apply an insecticide to get the males.
Plum. Pheromone trap needs to in place from mid May. The artificial pheromone scent of the female moth attracts the males which are caught by a sticky pad.
Full instructions are on the packs.
