Hi Everyone ,
just recently found this site and will look with interest and give any advise if I think I can help but dont get me wrong im just an amature at this ,
Im keen on growing my own Veg and Fruit we keep chickens too yet I try to keep it to a minimum with regard to weeding / watering and pest damage  etc so the set up is mainly under net with ground cover and irrigation.
Just to start a bit of a bonus we found by accident  -maybe nothing new to to those in the know -- This last year when we harvested cauliflower and cabbages I cut the produce and left the root and several leaves to remain fresh for chicken feed --however the bonus was that more cauli and cabbage grew from the same root -left over winter some of these same roots  continue to give a nice cauliflower late feb and continue todate .

Welcome to the forums, Roderick  :)

Nice crop of caulis  :D  Just make sure you don't get pest and disease build up by leaving them in for more than one season  ;)
