Rats
« on: September 06, 2011, 16:36 »
I've had one of the best years in a long time for potatoes, the only problem being the rats are eating a lot of my crop, especially around the edges of the plot where they run under cover of the fence. I've dug up all my spuds now and I am going to store them in my garden shed at home. The only trouble is will rats get them there as well in the winter when the weather turns colder? So I've sawn a plank of wood off to a suitable length and placed it on 2 upturned buckets. The theory is they wont be able to climb up the slippery sides of the buckets. Hopefully this will work.

Rats ate a lot of our potato crop stored in the garage last winter.

We used pasta bait, which they consumed and died

It took ages to clear them all out as there were so many of them  :tongue2: :tongue2: :tongue2:

They will outwile you --- kill 'em off
