Dwarf beans
« on: May 02, 2007, 00:08 »
:?    I am planting dwarf beans for the first time in my allotment they are hardening off under netting at the moment. Will the pesky pigeons have a good old nosh at them when they go out in the open? should I need to net them against bird attack or will they be left alone?? my peas were wiped out by them last week, so I am in two minds what to do any ideas.
I have to protect my runners when they are young from rabits etc will i have to with dwarf beans??

Hi baldy and welcome to the forums.  Reckon that rabbits will deffo have a go at your dwarf beans.  Pigeons too since they got your peas

As much as it's a nuisance to set up, you'll want to net everything in the open if you expect to harvest anything at all.
