I am building up my stash in preparation for when I gain access to my allotment, which should be soon.

I was in Woolworth’s yesterday and noticed they had a 'buy-one-get-one-free' offer on their seeds. They stock 'Mr Fothergills' and average £1.30 a pack.

Wilkinson’s also have the ‘bogof’ offer on their own-brand of seeds that are around £0.30p cheaper on average.

Is it worth paying more or are the Wilks seeds just as good? Or maybe there are better options?

The majority of the price of seeds is in packaging / marketing / wastage.  Provided you can get the varieties you want, just go with the cheapest.  Earlier threads on this forum have also talked about Lidl and Aldi having very cheap seeds.

most seed growers .... carrots are grown by my pal in south africa for commercial use in the uk ....... daft innit . well anyways the growers provide loads of seeds to many dealers who in turn sell onto many packaging places so the seeds from fothergills may well be the same as from lidls . buy cheaper if they are what you want ,saving money growing your own great  veggies starts with the seeds .
