Hi again. last year i think i left sowing a little late and everyone was reaping well before me :(  Is there any thing i could start now and tips on how to do..  :) thanks to those who replied to my last query..
How much oil could a gumboil boil if a gumboil could boil oil hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi focusonveg.  I luurve broad beans so if I set some now is that in pots or straight in the soil toptonk?  Also, do you need to cover them with plastic?  And does the same go for peas as I luurve them too?

Ive put mine in trays until they get started but some have put straight in ground under cover. :roll:

Thanks for humouring me toptonk, I don't know much at all. :lol:   So when would you expect your first crop?  I put mine in after the frosts had gone last year and did ok.  But, as I'm on a steep learning curve here my aims for this season are to get stuff in earlier and not, I repeat NOT to sew everything at the same time.  :?

They tell me broad beans are quite hardy so i suppose they could go straight into the ground but id make sure they are well protected,i dont know if this is true but i was told that the earlier the beans are put in the less chance they have of being attacked by blackfly. :lol: anybody know anything about this. :roll:

wack em in now 6 inches apart . in rows . they are tuff and if they do get frosted itb dont sem to make much harm to them. as fer blackfly .old wives nagging agin methinks  :lol:
