Talk about senility ...  I reckon I'm older in Hex than you are in decimal.  I was probably writing shell scripts and C programmes when you were still throwing Farleys Rusks out of your highchair!

Quote from: "noshed"
I'm sure a Barnet greenhouse would be perfectly fine now - with a bit of fleece if frost is forecast. All my stuff would be in mine if it wasn't lying on its side at the moment.
Once things have germinated on the windowsill - get them out, unless they're really tender. It's only February as well, there's plenty of time.

right back on topic..

since this is only my second year and I was really POO last year... when you say "stick them in the greenhouse after germination" do you mean in the propergator? and cover the propergator with fleece?

My sweet peas, sweet willian and various other flower type things (had to grow something for my missus) are getting a tad long after only 10 days, so should I re-pot them into 3in pots and errr stick them in the unheated greenhouse??

Sweet peas ought to be put in pots asap, the sweet williams transplanded into trays with each plant spaced well apart maybe 40 to tray. Both these  should be introduced to the outside world on nice days and after a week or so left out totally in a sheltered position.

Define various other flower type things
