I have just been using my strimmer, and the fuel ran out. Now, after refuelling the strimmer starts but keeps conking out.
Any ideas on how to fix it? :(

Lots of 2 stroke strimmers and chainsaws have a filter inside the petrol tank which can get choked up through time and needs replacing. If you look inside the tank you may find a thin plastic tube which you hook the end out and the filter is attached to the end of it. I had a similar problem with my Stihl strimmer. I changed the filter and  every thing was working ok again.

Thanks for the advice, changed filter but still not working. Any other ideas? Maybe it is just too worn out to carry on. :(

is this conking out when you press the throttle?
if so, you need to tune the carb as it isn't getting the right amount of fuel.

Yes it is, I will try tuning carb. Any tips on how to do that? I am a bit useless when it comes to strimmer engines.

If all the above tips bring no joy try removing the exhaust and starting it.
If it runs o.k you will need to clean all the carbon deposit from inside the silencer. My Stihl has got a mesh baffle in the silencer that gets carbon build up blocking the holes thus restricting the exhaust gasses
